PROCEEDS FOR TONY'S TURKEY TROT

Proceeds from Tony's Turkey Trot are an investment in vital, lifesaving work at UF Health Jacksonville, in our community and across the region. Funds raised through the 2023 Tony's Turkey Trot have supported and/or will support:

• 27 patients in the the UF Health Jacksonville Leon L. Haley Jr., M.D., Brain Wellness Program through one calendar year for housing and transportation
• 44 patients in the UF Health Jacksonville Leon L. Haley Jr., M.D., Brain Wellness Program for the Equine Program. The equine program, facilitated by Jacksonville Equestrian Center: H.O.R.S.E Therapies, offers half-day programming on Saturdays during the IOP sessions. Participants engage in interactions with horses, which have been shown to provide a range of benefits, including improved balance, coordination, and strength, as well as enhanced self-confidence, communication skills, and emotional regulation.
• Help to provide education around TBI’s and brain injuries through the UF Health Jacksonville Trauma Prevention Education Program
• The purchase of two Video Laryngoscopes. Often trauma patients, particularly TBI patients require intubation (breathing tubes) to support them.
• 10 members at the Brooks Rehabilitation Brain Injury Clubhouse for one month
