Abdominal and General Body Imaging

UF Health Abdominal and General Body Imaging – Jacksonville provides an important liaison between the Radiology department and many different adult medical and surgical services. A wide diversity of clinical issues require radiologic consultation, including hepatic (liver), splenic (spleen), digestive, genitourinary and vascular diseases.

The primary objective of the division is to provide non-invasive diagnostic imaging of the abdominal organs and adjacent structures, as well as some structures of the neck (carotid arteries and thyroid gland) and legs (veins). Available imaging methods include computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and contrast-enhanced fluoroscopy.
