The School of Radiologic Technology at UF Health Jacksonville is a JRCERT Accredited hospital-based Radiologic Technology Program offering a premier education through small cohort sizes, dedicated faculty and staff, and an exceptional learning environment. UF Health – Jacksonville is the only Level One Trauma Center in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia fostering a powerful and meaningful learning experience for all of our students. You will train alongside registered radiographers on cutting-edge medical imaging equipment while providing exceptional patient care for our community in their greatest times of need. In 23 months, you’ll graduate prepared and ready to enter the workforce as a radiographer.

This is an incredibly rich field with breadth and depth. Many radiographers spend their entire careers in the primary discipline of x-ray. While others springboard their careers into CT, MRI, mammography, interventional radiography, leadership, education, and more. Medical imaging is a high-demand, rewarding, and meaningful career.

Program Mission Statement

The School of Radiologic Technology at UF Health Jacksonville is an integral part of the hospital and shares its values. The school is committed to provide the healthcare community with exceptional graduates who are both academically and clinically prepared, using a comprehensive curriculum in contemporary radiography. This is accomplished in a facility that offers exceptional classroom and clinical space along with state of the art equipment and fully committed group of faculty, physicians, administrators and technical staff.

Goals and Student Learning Outcomes for the Entry-Level Radiographer

Goal 1: Students will be clinically competent

Goal 2: Students will demonstrate effective communication skills

    • Students will effectively critique a Radiologic Science related article.

Goal 3: Students will develop critical thinking skills

    • The students will select the appropriate technical factors.
    • The students will demonstrate effective radiation protection techniques.
