Jacksonville, Fla. - Shands Jacksonville and the University of Florida (UF) have hired Brandon McCray as Associate Director of Development. He is responsible for coordinating and encouraging private donations as well as volunteer leadership in support of Shands Jacksonville and the UF Health Science Center Jacksonville.
Jancy Houck, ShandsHealthcare assistant vice president of development and alumni affairs, says having a full-time development director in Jacksonville dedicated to this important work is critical to the organization's on-going success. "Private philanthropy is a vital ingredient in the success of the work being done at Shands Jacksonville and the University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville. Contributions are used to create and improve programs in patient care, research and the education of healthcare professionals," states Houck.
