Anesthesiology
UF Health Anesthesiology – Jacksonville provides a full range
of inpatient and outpatient care for patients undergoing surgery, including:
- Ambulatory anesthesia
- Cardiovascular anesthesia
- Critical care medicine
- General anesthesia
- Obstetrical anesthesia (including labor epidurals)
- Out-of-operating-room anesthesia (e.g. interventional radiology)
- Pain management
- Pediatric anesthesia
- Regional anesthesia
In addition to hospital-based services, our anesthesiologists offer outpatient services at the
UF Health Pain Management Center – Jacksonville, a comprehensive,
multidisciplinary program that helps patients cope with the debilitating effects
of pain. The center offers complete services for the evaluation, diagnosis and management
of acute, chronic or oncologic (cancer) pain disorders. Treatments may include medications,
therapeutic injections, physical therapy, psychological counseling, medical or surgical
subspecialty referrals and patient educational materials relating to your pain management
plan. Services vary based on individual patient needs.
Our anesthesiologists are academic faculty of the
University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology – Jacksonville,
offering an anesthesiology
residency and
obstetric anesthesiology fellowship as part of their mission to train
tomorrow's physicians.
