Community Connections

UF Health Jacksonville Arts in Medicine partners with several key institutions in an effort to educate and serve outside the medical center campus boundaries. Art, as expression, is a connection to others. Whether groups share their art with our visitors or we share the stories of our visitors to the world, the sharing itself brings relevancy.

Cards for the Homeless

Patients throughout UF Health Jacksonville make special "wish" cards using symbols for homeless families across town. Thinking of others in crisis can help a patient going through crisis feel relevant and helpful.

When we deliver these cards to the homeless center, our team also provides a fun art workshop for groups there and then returns "wishes" to our patients.
