Information for Visitors, Vendors and Contractors Updated July 20, 2021 Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in Jacksonville and Florida, visitation is limited at this time. The visitation policy is continuously re-evaluated based on the risk of COVID-19 and in consideration of patient, family and health care providers. Please carefully read the information below regarding the visitation policy. Visitors must be 16 years of age or older and will be screened for specific symptoms upon entering the building. All visitors are required to wear a mask and practice physical distancing. UF Health Jacksonville One visitor allowed per patient at a time. If more than one visitor comes to see a patient, please trade places with each other outside the building. Visitation hours are from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. UF Health North One visitor allowed per patient at a time. If more than one visitor comes to see a patient, please trade places with each other outside the building. Visitation hours are from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Clinics On and Off Campus Clinics on and off campus will remain closed to visitors, as waiting rooms cannot support physical distancing. Exceptions may be facilitated with the staff of each clinic based on an individual patient’s needs. Emergency Departments Emergency departments at both campuses will welcome one visitor per patient in the waiting room, with physical distancing, until capacity is met. Perioperative Inpatient surgery – One visitor is allowed to wait in the patient’s room. Outpatient surgery – One visitor per patient is allowed in the waiting room, with physical distancing, until capacity is met. PACU – No visitors are allowed in the PACU. Inpatient Waiting Rooms Inpatient waiting rooms will be open with physical distancing practiced. Women’s Services The labor and delivery units will welcome one visitor to stay with the patient from admission to discharge. There will be no visitors allowed in triage. Positive COVID-19 Patients Positive COVID-19 patients in inpatient units, emergency departments and clinics are not allowed to have visitors. Virtual visits are available. Please note, special circumstances may be granted for specific reasons for non-COVID-19 and/or positive COVID-19 patients.
