Teresa Padro, DNP, AGACNP-BC, was born in Lima, Peru, and speaks English, Italian and Spanish. She is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute nurse practitioner. She originally attended Universidad de Lima, in Lima, Peru, where she received a Bachelor of Science in business administration. After moving to the U.S., she pursued her interest in nursing and graduated with honors from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Science in nursing.
Teresa has provided patient care in the civilian and military sectors in the U.S. and abroad. She recently received her doctorate degree in nursing from the University of Florida. Her clinical interests are critical care, global health, health disparities, military and veteran affairs, neurological diseases and sepsis. She is a member of the following professional organizations: Society of Critical Care Medicine, Sigma Theta Tau and the International Honor Society of Nursing. In addition to her clinical interests, she supports educational efforts in the Andes of Peru.
