Diane Cates earned a doctor of optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, North Miami Beach, Florida in 1995 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minors in Child and Family Development and Chemistry from Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida in 1991. She is board certified in Optometry, with specialties in Low Vision, Primary Care and Contact Lenses and Cornea.
Dr. Cates completed her ocular disease rotation at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, Florida in 1994. She has research experience in Vision Care in Preschool and School-age Children at Florida State University.
Dr. Cates is a Jacksonville native who enjoys biking and yoga.
