Biography
Tara Blackshear, APRN, is a certified family nurse practitioner. She attended Chamberlain University and is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Tara worked as a pediatric emergency room nurse and in labor and delivery prior to obtaining her nurse practitioner degree. She also worked as a preschool teacher while obtaining her nursing degree. Her time teaching children further enhanced her skill set of providing medical care for families in a clinical setting.
Tara and her husband, a Callahan native, have three children. They have a strong love for South Korea, where they adopted their youngest child. When Tara is not working, you can often find her cheering on her children playing sports or doing gymnastics. One of her favorite ways to spend free time is traveling with her family.
