Nicholas Whiting Jr. earned a doctor of optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with concentration in Biomedical Sciences from University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida in 2015. He is board certified in Optometry, with specialties in Ocular disease, Refractive Error Correction and Refractive Surgery co-management.
Dr. Whiting’s clinical interests are in glaucoma, cornea and contact lens, diabetes and macular disease, dry eye and ocular surface disease. He has research experience in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry of the Neural Retina at the University of North Florida.
While attending NSU College of Optometry, Dr. Whiting served as SGA treasurer and as a board member of the Florida Optometric Student Association. He is currently an active member of the Florida Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the Scleral Lens Education Society.
Dr. Whiting enjoys fishing, sports, and spending time with family and friends.
