Biography
Donna Gardner Jacoby, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 25 years of experience providing individual counseling and advocacy, as well as social justice and systems change work. She received a master’s degree in social work from Ohio State University.
Donna (she/her/hers) specializes in treating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. She builds a foundation with patients, beginning with their existing strengths and wisdom. Next, she helps them gain support, learn new skills and use practical strategies to improve how they cope with life’s challenges to enhance their overall quality of life.
Donna combines the art of a genuine and warm therapeutic relationship with evidence-based approaches, such as a mind-body treatment for trauma, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. She is also a certified provider of cognition processing therapy for trauma.
Her academic interests include treatment of moral injury and systems collaboration to address partner violence.
Outside of work, Donna enjoys spending time outdoors walking, gardening, kayaking or just sitting in a lawn chair visiting with family and friends.
