About me
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Florida. I have extensive experience in patient care and clinical research involving lung, prostate, central nervous system, head and neck, and gastrointestinal cancers. I also serve as section head of Biomedical Informatics in the Department of Radiation Oncology.
My expertise includes biomedical informatics, with a particular focus on clinical informatics, personalized medicine, advancing equity in global cancer care and addressing cancer health disparities among minority populations.
I have published research in peer-reviewed journals, including International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics, Clinical Cancer Research, Journal of Neurosurgery and Seminars in Radiation Oncology. I have also presented my research at annual meetings of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American Medical Informatics Association Annual Symposium, the AAP/ASCI/APSA Joint Meeting and the Gold Humanism Honor Society National Conference.
To me, it is a privilege to help patients and their family find healing and hope during one of the most tumultuous times in their lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a tremendous team dedicated to providing compassionate care and advancing cancer treatment to improve the lives of those from all walks of life impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
