About the Department: Inpatient Practice
Inpatient practice is provided directly from patient care areas through the use
of a point of use medication system. Each practitioner is responsible for managing
their specialty service and for setting goals for their practice. Practitioners
are recognized as experts in their area of pharmacotherapy and are an integral component
of their patients' care.

Education is provided to students in the Doctor of Pharmacy APPE program. In addition,
all practitioners are responsible for training residents in the ASHP-accredited
PGY-1,

Medication Use Safety and Policy,
Pain Management
Residency Programs.
