Patient Care
The patient care mission of the UF Health Jacksonville Department
of Pharmacy is to provide safe, effective and appropriate medication therapy; to
advocate, initiate and facilitate changes that optimize patient care and improve
the patient experience; and to educate patients, students and healthcare providers.
The department's Division of Inpatient
Practice directs all inpatient pharmaceutical services at UF Health Jacksonville and UF Health North.
The Division of Ambulatory Practice manages
the UF Health Jacksonville Ambulatory Pharmacy and UF Health Jacksonville Specialty Pharmacy.
It is located on the first floor of the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) and is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.,

The Division of Therapeutic Policy oversees all medication use safety and policy for both campuses. Pharmacists
work in specialized roles including Medication Use Safety and Policy, Informatics, Clinical Research,
Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Pain Management Stewardship.
