UF Health emergency medicine physicians care for patients with urgent medical conditions. Our teams include board-certified emergency physicians, nurses trained in critical care and other highly qualified specialists who provide immediate care options from several locations in Northeast Florida.

Hospital-based emergency care

UF Health in Jacksonville offers two emergency rooms staffed 24 hours a day with specially trained physicians to treat life-threatening issues, some of which include chest pain, abdominal pain, dehydration, complex fractures and much more.

UF Health Jacksonville Emergency Room is divided into several treatment areas to best serve a patient's medical conditions. It includes TraumaOne, the only adult and pediatric Level I trauma program in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia; a separate Pediatric Emergency Center designed especially for children; and an accredited Chest Pain Center with experts who specialize in providing a higher level of care to patients with heart attack symptoms.

UF Health North Emergency Room is a full-service ER equipped to handle a full range of emergency illnesses and injuries for both adults and children and is supported by onsite diagnostic services, including imaging and laboratory medicine.

Emergency and urgent care centers

UF Health Emergency & Urgent Care Centers offer emergency and urgent care under one roof. Open 24 hours, seven days a week, the combined centers are fully equipped to handle everything from allergies to chest pain with on-site labs, X-ray, ultrasound and CT.

Urgent care centers

UF Health Urgent Care — Wildlight is an urgent care in Nassau County staffed by emergency medicine physicians, with extended evening and weekend hours.
