UF Health Cardiac Rehabilitation – Jacksonville offers services to limit the physiological and psychological effects of cardiac illness. Cardiac rehabilitative services are prescribed for patients following events such as angioplasty, bypass surgery, heart attack, heart failure, heart transplant, stable angina, stent placement, and valve repair and/or replacement.
The multidisciplinary rehabilitation team consists of the University of Florida medical director, registered cardiac nurses, exercise physiologists, registered dieticians, pharmacists and a diabetes educator.
