UF Health Breast Imaging Center – Jacksonville

UF Health Breast Imaging Center – Jacksonville uses conventional mammography and ultrasound for breast imaging as well as image-guided biopsy and localization procedures. In addition, we offer 3-D breast tomosynthesis as an additional view to the traditional 2-D diagnostic mammogram. The largest benefits of tomosynthesis for patients are the reduction of false positives and call backs on mammograms, providing a more specialized view giving patients peace of mind as well as improving their comfort throughout their mammography experience.

Services offered include:

• Digital 2-D mammography with 3-D tomosynthesis option
• Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) bone-density screening
• Ultrasound and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging
• Radioactive seed localization for breast tumor treatment
