Visiting Hours and Rules
Hospital visiting hours for most areas are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m..
Visitor Rules
All visitors are asked to observe the following rules:
- Some patient units limit the number of visitors in the room at any time. In those areas, UF Health North staff will work with you to accommodate your needs.
- Observe designated visiting hours for each unit.
- Children under 16 are permitted in inpatient areas under the supervision of a non-patient adult.
- Observe the No Smoking rule. Use of tobacco products is forbidden anywhere on hospital grounds.
- The amount of time family and visitors may spend with the patient may be limited by hospital staff based on the needs of, or at the request of, the patient.
Equal Visitation
UF Health is committed to provide visitation in accordance with our non-discrimination policy, which provides access without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, disability, age, religion, marital status, citizenship, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation and/or other legally protected classification.
Visitation for COVID-19 Patients
- Visitation for positive COVID patients in Inpatient Units, Emergency Departments and Clinics is authorized. All visitors for positive COVID-19 patients must be 16 years or older to allow for proper fit of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Visitors will be required to wear a non-fit tested 8210 N95 mask and eye protection. All isolation precautions must be followed by any visitor and staff must educate the visitor on how to appropriately don/doff personal protective equipment prior to the visit.

Hospital Dining
UF Health North Cafeteria
Located on the first floor of the UF Health North hospital tower, our cafeteria offers everything from light snacks to meals.
Hours: 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Bistro/Café
Nestled in the first floor of our outpatient Medical Office Building, the Bistro/Café specializes in grab-and-go food items, snacks and specialty coffee beverages.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – Midnight
Wireless Internet Service (Wi-Fi)
Internet access is available throughout campus. To access our Wi-Fi network, select ufhealthguest from the list of available wireless network options listed on your device, and review and accept the UF Health Guest Network Acceptable Use Policy to connect.
Family Learning/Resource Center
The Family Learning/Resource Center has dedicated computers for patient and visitor use, whether to keep in touch by email or to research information. This area is located on the first floor of the UF Health North Medical Office Building across from the Radiology reception desk.
Driving Directions
From I-95 N
- Heading north on I-95, take exit 363A onto Max Leggett Parkway.
- Merge right onto Max Leggett Parkway.
- In about one quarter mile, use the left 2 lanes to turn left to stay on Max Leggett Parkway.
- In about one half mile, UF Health North will be on your right.
From I-95 S
- Heading south on I-95, take exit 363 for Duval Road toward Jacksonville International Airport.
- Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Max Leggett Parkway.
- In about one quarter mile, use the left 2 lanes to turn left to stay on Max Leggett Parkway.
- In about one half mile, UF Health North will be on your right.
Parking
Free valet parking is provided for patients and visitors at the main entrance to the Medical Office Building Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Public Transportation
Bus
Jacksonville Transit Authority bus route 1, stop 5279 is located just across Max Leggett Parkway from UF Health North. View Route

The information desk staff at either the Medical Office Building or hospital main entrance can call a cab for you.
Hotels and Other Lodging
If you and your family are traveling to Jacksonville for treatment from out of town, there are a number of hotels near UF Health North that are convenient to the airport, shopping, dining and other activities that may be helpful for patients, family and friends.
Although UF Health North is not able to negotiate hotel rates, some local hotels do offer preferred rates depending on availability. Please call the hotels directly to find out if they offer a discounted rate for UF Health patients and their families.
