Pregnancy and Delivery: Acute Care
Located within the UF Health Jacksonville Labor and Delivery Unit, the Women’s Acute
Care Center offers access to emergency health care for pregnant women beyond 20
weeks gestation. Medical staff are on site 24 hours a day to meet any emergency
health care needs that may arise during the second half of pregnancy.
Expectant mothers at 20 weeks gestation or beyond with pregnancy complications should
come directly to Labor and Delivery, located on the third floor of the UF Health
Jacksonville Clinical Center, instead of going to the hospital’s emergency room.
No appointment is necessary.
Pregnant women less than 20 weeks gestation with emergencies should go to the hospital’s
emergency room for care.
