Volunteer Opportunities: Working at UF Health North
UF Health North is looking for dedicated,
committed people to join our team of volunteers. Located in North Jacksonville on
Max Leggett Parkway near Interstate 95, UF Health North is a state‑of‑the‑art medical
complex that includes a 92-bed hospital, 24/7 adult and pediatric emergency center,
and an outpatient multispecialty medical office building. Volunteer opportunities

Patient Navigator/Guest Services
Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Volunteers greet and assist patients and visitors in the main lobby of UF Health
North. Volunteers will provide general customer service and escort patients to different
areas within the complex if needed.
Emergency Room Volunteer
Any day, 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
The primary role of an emergency department volunteer is to visit patients and family
members and assist them with non-clinical tasks and comfort measures. A volunteer
may assist with additional duties and responsibilities, such cleaning and restocking
emergency department items.
Radiology Volunteer
Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Volunteers will assist the staff at the front desk and help provide a welcoming
environment by greeting the patients, escorting them to registration, examination
rooms and other areas if needed.
Outpatient Surgery Volunteer
Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
In this role, volunteers will assist nursing staff by providing non-clinical support
to patients and families by helping provide customer service, emotional support
and comfort.
