Meet UF Health Jacksonville acute care surgeon Firas Madbak, MD. The UF Health TraumaOne Trauma Center is backed by University of Florida faculty surgeons, physician extenders, resident physicians, and a staff of specialists who combine the brilliance of academic excellence with the advanced clinical skills you would expect from some of the finest physicians in the country.

Firas Madbak, M.D., FACS, FCCM, is a University of Florida associate professor of surgery and a board-certified acute care surgeon at UF Health Jacksonville. He also serves as program director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship training program. Dr. Madbak received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky. He completed his medical residency in surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, as well as a fellowship in surgical critical care at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey.
