Focus
Dr. Fishe's research program seeks to apply precision medicine principles to the emergency care of children experiencing asthma attacks. Combining clinical, geospatial, and pharmacogenomic elements, Dr. Fishe and her collaborators are working to develop evidence-based, real-time algorithms for use by caregivers, emergency medical services providers, and emergency medicine physicians to optimize and individualize care for pediatric asthma exacerbations. The overall goal of Dr. Fishe's research is to reduce morbidity and mortality of children from asthma, the most common chronic disease of childhood.
