Masood appointed medical adviser for American Cancer Society-Duval Unit

Shahla Masood, M.D., professor and chair of the department of pathology and laboratory medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville, will serve as a medical adviser for the American Cancer Society’s Duval County Unit.

Masood’s one-year term will begin in September. Masood, medical director of the Shands Jacksonville Breast Health Center, will be available to the board in a consulting role when medical issues arise.

Masood’s appointment will be celebrated during a reception next month at the San Jose Country Club.
