UF Health Jacksonville appoints vice president of community engagement and chief diversity officer

UF Health Jacksonville has welcomed a new addition to the senior leadership team. Ann-Marie Knight, MHA, will serve as vice president of community engagement and chief diversity officer for UF Health in Jacksonville. In this dual role, she will partner with local and state officials, community and physician leaders and agencies to strategize on improving the long-term health of the community and reducing health disparities. She will also provide vision and leadership for the diversity, inclusion and equity efforts across our enterprise.

Knight comes from Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, where she served as operations administrator for the department of surgery and critical care medicine, as well as director of community engagement and diversity and inclusion.

With more than 19 years of progressive experience in strategic planning, financial management and operations management in the inpatient and outpatient practice settings, she attributes her professional acumen to her 24 years of naval service in which she retired as a medical service corps officer.

Immediately following her military service, Knight served as administrative officer for the Veterans Affairs Clinic in Jacksonville, where she was instrumental in getting the Jefferson Street location operational.

She serves as the regent for the North Florida and Western Florida chapters of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Her board membership includes the Florida State College at Jacksonville Foundation, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida and the World Affairs Council.
