If you’re faced with a diagnosis of a complex spine issue, including adult scoliosis, it’s important to make sure the diagnosis is correct. Studies have shown that, in some cases, a second opinion results in major changes to diagnosis or treatment. So having a second physician agree with your first doctor or find something that was missed or misinterpreted the first time can provide peace of mind when faced with a number of treatment options.

Spine issues are often complex and with so many different types, it takes an expert to provide an accurate diagnosis. As part of an academic health center, UF Health Comprehensive Spine Center physicians are highly trained and specialize in recognizing every type of spine issue.

Please call 904-383-1022 or email UFSpineCenter@jax.ufl.edu to request an appointment for a second opinion.
