My bio

Aboubakr Amer, M.D., is a University of Florida assistant professor of neurosurgery and a neurosurgeon at UF Health in Jacksonville specializing in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery, spinal surgery and neuro-oncology. Dr. Amer received his medical degree from, and completed residency training in neurological surgery at, Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed fellowships in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery and complex spinal surgery at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, he completed fellowships in neurosurgical oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, as well as spinal neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
