My bio
Dr. Calogero Dolce is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthodontics at the UF College of Dentistry. Dr. Dolce completed both his D.D.S. and Ph.D. in Oral Biology at SUNY-Buffalo, and earned a certificate in orthodontics at the University of Florida.
For over seven years, Dolce served as the director of the college's intramural Faculty Practice from 2016 until July 2023. In addition to serving as department chair, he's currently playing an instrumental role in the growth of orthodontics at the college's newest off-site clinic, UF Health Dentistry - Wildlight, which opened in December of 2019.
Dolce is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and his research interests are in the biology of tooth movement and the treatment of class II malocclusion. Dr. Dolce has published more than 50 articles related to orthodontics and serves as a reviewer for various journals including the Journal of Dental Research, the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and Angle Orthodontics.
He's additionally heavily involved in teaching orthodontic residents and serves patients in the college's intramural faculty practice.
