About me
Cathy Henderson, MSN, PCCN, APRN, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, as well as a progressive care certified nurse by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Her experience includes working as an inpatient registered nurse with emphasis in cardiovascular, endocrine disorders, primary care case management and pulmonary care. She was also a lead nurse practitioner to help reduce COVID-19 throughout the state of Florida.
Cathy received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Jacksonville University and a master’s degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from South University in Savannah, Georgia. She also earned an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Florida.
Cathy’s philosophy of care is to partner with patients by helping them reach their individualized optimal level of health and functionality. Her clinical passions include chronic disease management, hyperlipidemia and hypertension.
She is an active advocate of the nursing profession through membership with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
When she’s not working, Cathy enjoys being at home with her husband, as well as spending time with her three adult children, grandchildren and close friends. She’s an avid reader who enjoys books by Colleen Hoover and Tia McCullough, to name a few. Cathy also enjoys attending medical conferences, driving to Vilano Beach, and volunteering at Mission House in Jacksonville Beach.
