About me
Charles Heilig, M.D., is a University of Florida professor of medicine and a board-certified nephrologist at UF Health Jacksonville. He also serves as chief of the UF Division of Nephrology and Hypertension in Jacksonville, as well as program director of the Nephrology Fellowship training program. He specializes in diabetic kidney disease and chronic renal failure. Dr. Heilig received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, as well as a fellowship in nephrology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
