My bio

Ruchira Singh, M.D., M.S., FACOG, is a urogynecologist and a gynecologic surgeon who specializes in the care of women with pelvic floor disorders. These disorders include urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic pain. Her clinical interests include treating incontinence with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, and using minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.

Dr. Singh completed her medical school and residency in obstetrics and gynecology in New Delhi, India. She then pursued a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Hurley Medical Center at Michigan State University. She served as chief resident during her final year of residency and earned multiple awards. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she also completed a postdoctoral diploma in clinical and translational science.

Dr. Singh joined the University of Florida Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology – Jacksonville as an assistant professor in 2016. She was appointed as chief of the division of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery in 2020 and was promoted to associate professor in 2023. Dr. Singh is double-board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.

She appreciates how clinical research and innovation provides the foundation of medical knowledge and quality of health care. This allows Dr. Singh to be highly motivated to be actively involved in clinical research. She has successfully administered multiple research projects, collaborated with other researchers and has authored multiple manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. She has also in presented her work at various national conferences. She is also involved in health care quality improvement projects at UF Health Jacksonville.

Dr. Singh is actively engaged in teaching medical students and residents, as well as taking care of her patients. She is passionate about educating and empowering each of her patients to achieve a healthy, active lifestyle. Dr. Singh offers a whole-person approach, giving personalized and compassionate care during treatment and recovery.
