Vashisht Sekar, M.B.B.S.,(M.D), DHMSA, MRCSEd Ph.D., FRCSEd(Neuro.Surg) is a University of Florida Assistant Professor of neurosurgery and a neurosurgeon at UF Health in Jacksonville. Dr. Sekar received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. He completed a residency in neurological surgery at Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and holds a Ph.D. in cardiovascular medicine from the University of Manchester in Manchester, United Kingdom. He is a diplomate of the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries (London) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (the oldest Surgical College in the world). He was an Instructor in Neurosurgery at Stanford University in Neurosurgical Oncology and Radiosurgery (2021-2022) and in Neurosurgical Trauma and Spine Surgery (2022-2023)
