UF Health Science Center Jacksonville

The University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville is co-located with UF Health Jacksonville. More than 1,500 UF faculty members, residents, fellows, students, administrators and staff work in its three colleges:

College of Medicine – Jacksonville

The UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville offers medical residency and fellowship programs, which provide outstanding opportunities to learn from UF faculty who are among the best in their fields in a busy urban teaching hospital. In addition, clinical rotations in all major disciplines are offered for third- and fourth-year medical students, as is continuing medical education for practicing physicians.

College of Nursing – Jacksonville

The Jacksonville campus of the UF College of Nursing offers advanced nursing degree programs which are taught by UF faculty both in Jacksonville and Gainesville.

College of Pharmacy – Jacksonville

The Jacksonville campus of the UF College of Pharmacy offers a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy Program which may be completed entirely on the Jacksonville campus.

Simulation Training

The UF Center for Simulation Education and Safety Research (CSESaR) offers education through simulation and goal-directed training to promote quality patient care, expand patient safety initiatives and enhance multidisciplinary health care.

Pharmacy & Podiatry Residencies

UF Health Jacksonville offers ASHP-accredited PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residencies and a CPME-accredited podiatry residency program.

Disaster Preparedness

The University of Florida, UF Health Jacksonville and the Florida Poison Information Center – Jacksonville offer disaster preparedness training for physicians, nurses, first responders and other health care professionals and administrators involved in preparing for and implementing disaster management.

School of Medical Laboratory Science

The UF Health Jacksonville School of Medical Laboratory Science offers a one-year program beginning in fall 2022 for selected students who have earned a bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical or clinical laboratory sciences and are looking to further their education. The program certificate furthers careers by providing instruction on blood, tissue and urine analysis in order to detect and diagnose disease.

School of Radiologic Technology

The UF Health Jacksonville School of Radiologic Technology offers a two-year accredited radiography program. In addition, the school offers a certification program in computed tomography and magnet resonance imaging.

Rehabilitation Residency & Fellowship Programs

UF Health Jacksonville Rehabilitation Services offers a one-year Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program and a one-ear Speech-Language Pathology Fellowship program.

Trauma & Medical Psychology Fellowship Programs

UF Health Jacksonville Surgical Psychology – Jacksonville offers a post-doctoral fellowship in trauma & medical psychology was started in 1998 and provided training and supervision in medical psychology.

Administrative Fellowship Program

The UF Health Jacksonville Administrative Fellowship Program strives to cultivate masters level professionals into well-rounded leaders through focused mentoring, enduring relationships, and meaningful projects that further our organizational mission and match the fellow’s interests.
