Educational Tracks
ARRT Credentialing Requirements
In order to meet the education requirement for the primary pathway of Radiologic Technology, you must have:
- Completed an ARRT-approved educational program in the same discipline as the credential you are pursuing
- Earned an associate's degree or higher
School of Radiologic Technology at UF Health Jacksonville is an ARRT-approved educational program due to accreditation through the JRCERT.
Therefore, all students in our program must either (1) already hold at least an associate’s degree from an accredited institution that does not have to be in the imaging sciences or (2) be eligible and enrolled in the 2254 Radiography Degree Completion track at FSCJ. Certification Program
If you already hold at least an Associate Degree, which does not need to be in the imaging sciences, then you qualify for our Certificate only track. Ensure that you have completed the nine prerequisite courses, or comparable courses at an accredited college or university. The prerequisite courses are listed in the Application Requirements.
Degree Seeking Student
If you haven’t yet earned a degree or are just starting your journey in higher education then the degree-seeking route may work best you. We have an affiliation with Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ). First you will take the nine prerequisite courses listed in Application Requirements at FSCJ. Then apply, be appointed, and complete our program here at UF Health Jacksonville School of Radiologic Sciences. On graduation, we will send your transcripts from our school back to FSCJ. They will award you an Associate of Science Degree in Radiography. To be eligible for this track, you must take all your prerequisite courses at FSCJ. Articulation Agreement
Students who completed all of their program prerequisite courses at Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) and are admitted into the School of Radiologic Technology at UF Health Jacksonville will qualify for the FSCJ 2254 – Radiography Degree Completion track. When those students successfully complete the School of Radiologic Technology program at UF Health Jacksonville, they will meet the degree requirements to graduate from FSCJ with an Associate of Science degree in Radiography.
