The UF Health Abdominal and Body Imaging team in Jacksonville provides an important liaison between the Radiology department and many different adult medical and surgical services. A wide diversity of clinical issues require radiologic consultation, including hepatic (liver), splenic (spleen), digestive, genitourinary and vascular diseases.

The subspecialty unit provides noninvasive diagnostic imaging of the abdominal organs and adjacent structures, as well as some structures of the neck (carotid arteries and thyroid gland) and legs (veins). Available imaging methods include computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and contrast-enhanced fluoroscopy.
