Hepatology

The discipline of hepatology encompasses the structure, function and diseases of the liver and biliary tract, and is considered part of the subspecialty of gastroenterology. At UF Health Jacksonville, a specially trained hepatologist provides physical examinations, diagnostic testing, procedures and medical treatments to patients with liver and biliary diseases.
