Neuroradiology specialists at UF Health Radiology in Jacksonville provide both noninvasive diagnostic imaging of the brain, spinal cord and surrounding structures, as well as image-guided interventional procedures on the blood vessels of the brain, spine and vertebral column that might otherwise require invasive surgical procedures.
These University of Florida faculty neuroradiologists work closely with other members of the UF Health team, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-ophthalmologists and otolaryngologists.
The imaging modalities include magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, computed tomography (CT), nuclear imaging (including SPECT and PET) and fluoroscopy during either diagnostic angiographic procedures or catheter/needle-based interventions. The service collaborates closely with the UF Health Neuroscience Institute.
UF Health Jacksonville has been recognized as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, recognizing best-quality imaging practices and diagnostic care.
