UF Health Pediatric Cardiology in Jacksonville provides highly specialized cardiac care for babies and children in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Our renowned pediatric cardiologists are part of the UF Health Shands Children's Hospital cardiology and heart surgery program. As a team, they were named the highest ranking children's program in Florida in the 2022-23 rankings issued by U.S. News & World Report.
Pediatric Cardiology: Our expertise
Our pediatric cardiologists with the University of Florida Division of Pediatric Cardiology are available through consultation or referral even before a baby is born and throughout childhood.
Here are a few of their areas of expertise:
- Fetal cardiology with prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease
- Advanced arrhythmia management, including radiofrequency ablation, pacemaker implantation and implantable cardiac defibrillators
- Interventional catheterization including balloon valvotomy and angioplasty, placement of intravasacular stents and trans catheter closure of atrial septal defects, patent ductus arteriosus and muscular ventricular septal defects
Conditions we treat
Your obstetrician, pediatrician or primary care physician will assist in the referral process to work with our pediatric cardiologist team and will maintain a close working relationship with our specialists throughout diagnostic tests, procedures and any surgical care.

- Patent ductus arteriosis (PDA)
