Neurological rehabilitation focuses on patients with neurological injuries and conditions. This type of rehabilitation is designed to reduce symptoms, increase function and improve a patient’s quality of life. If you have a neurological condition, you can be referred for rehabilitation by your doctor.

The outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation Program at UF Health Jacksonville provides services to meet your needs. Our team has extensive experience treating patients with neurological impairments, so you can rely on their expertise to design effective therapies individualized for you. Our comprehensive program includes physical and occupational therapy, as well as speech-language pathology.

Our specialists also work closely with the UF Health Neuroscience Institute in Jacksonville to provide the most advanced services. Clinics staffed with providers from multiple disciplines have been established for patients with Parkinson's disease and ALS. These clinics also offer the advantage of various support services for patients.

Community and Patient Programs: Neurological rehabilitation

Our community and patient programs provide great value to patients, families and loved ones. People can find support, educational materials, expert consultants and more. In most instances, these programs are offered free of charge.

  • Parkinson's Disease Support Group

    Meets on the second Wednesday of each month, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the UF Health Jacksonville Towers, 580 W. 8th St.

  • Tai Chi for Neurology Patients

    Tai chi classes for patients and caregivers with neurologic conditions such as Parkinson's, stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and neuropathy.

  • Yoga for Neurology Patients

    Yoga classes for patients and caregivers with neurology conditions such as Parkinson's, stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and neuropathy.
