My bio
Johnny Washington, M.D., is a University of Florida assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery and a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and orthopaedic sports medicine physician at UF Health Jacksonville. He also serves as medical director of UF Health Orthopaedic Surgery – JTB Kernan. Dr. Washington received his medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida. He completed his medical residency in orthopaedic surgery at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Washington specializes in sports medicine; arthroscopy procedures (shoulder, knee and elbow); ligament and tendon repair (rotator cuff, ACL, PCL); cartilage repair (meniscus, labrum, ACI/MACI); orthobiologics (PRP, hyaluronic acid); and shoulder and knee replacement.
