UF Health Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery in Jacksonville provides comprehensive evaluation and care for injured athletes of all ages, from the professional level to "weekend warriors." Our physicians are fellowship trained in orthopaedic sports medicine. They are committed to advancing the science of care for injured athletes by performing original research and educating resident physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers and other providers in the community and throughout the country.
Our University of Florida faculty physicians are specialists who exclusively focus on the care of injured athletes and the care of patients with shoulder disorders or injuries. Our physicians are also among only a handful in Northeast Florida practicing cartilage restoration. They are an ideal resource for complex cases and for patients who need second opinions after failed surgical outcomes. Our physicians are well versed in evidence-based medicine and incorporate these concepts into all facets of the evaluation and treatment of each patient. In addition to individual patients, they provide orthopaedic medical care for several Duval County public high schools.
