Ziad Awad, M.D., FACS, is a University of Florida professor of surgery and a board-certified surgeon at UF Health Jacksonville. He also serves as associate chair for clinical operations for the UF Department of Surgery – Jacksonville; chief of the Division of General Surgery; medical director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Program; and program director for the Advanced GI and Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship training program.

Dr. Awad specializes in esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, minimally invasive surgery for gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatal hernia, colorectal cancer and solid organ malignancy (spleen, adrenal, liver and pancreas).
