UF Health Breast Imaging Center – Jacksonville uses conventional mammography and ultrasound for breast imaging as well as image-guided biopsy and localization procedures. In addition, we offer 3D breast tomosynthesis as an additional view to the traditional diagnostic mammogram. The largest benefits of tomosynthesis for patients are the reduction of false positives and call backs on mammograms, providing a more specialized view giving patients peace of mind as well as improving their comfort throughout their mammography experience.
