UF Health Jacksonville has a separate Pediatric Emergency Center
designed especially for children. Staffed by specially trained physicians in the
University
of Florida Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine – Jacksonville,
the center has pediatric-specific dosage charts, instruments and supplies. This
system is designed to ensure the safety of your child related to medication administration.
UF Health Jacksonville is one of only two hospitals in Northeast Florida to have
a separate emergency center that focuses exclusively on children's needs. The center
sees more than 22,000 children every year and has one of the few
pediatric emergency fellowship programs in the state.
