Getting Started: Student Volunteer Program
Summer Student Volunteer Program
The SSV summer program usually runs for 3 weeks in the summer. To qualify for the
program, you must be at least 15 – 17 years of age and have at least a 3.0 GPA.
Applicants must be able to commit to the full three weeks of service. Limited space
is available, not all qualified applicants are accepted.
The 2020 Summer Student Volunteer program will run from June 15 – July 2. Student
volunteers serve each week, full days on Monday - Friday during that timeframe.
Applications will be distributed and all necessary program information will be presented
at the Parent/Guardian/Student Information night to be held on Monday, May 4th at
6pm in the LRC, Auditorium, located in the blue glass building attached to the Visitor
parking garage. Interested students should attend this information night with at
least one parent/guardian.
There will be opportunities to serve at the downtown campus and the north campus.

Homeschool Student Volunteer Program
The HSV program runs year around with the exception of the summer months each year.
To qualify for the program, you must be at least 16-17 years of age, be a student
who is home schooled and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicants must be able to commit
to 80 hours of service. Limited space is available, not all qualified applicants
are accepted. Students who are a part of this program can apply anytime and be available
to serve during the months of September – May. They must volunteer during the daytime
hours of Monday – Friday, typically a four hour shift each week. For more information
