My bio
Raafat F. Makary, M.D., Ph.D., is a University of Florida associate professor of pathology and a board-certified pathologist and neuropathologist at UF Health Jacksonville. He serves as medical director of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, medical director of Autopsy Services, and medical director of Surgical Pathology. He received his medical degree from Ain Shams University Hospital in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California, as well as a fellowship in neuropathology at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine/UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
