My bio
Michael J Wehle, M.D., is a University of Florida clinical assistant professor of urology and a board-certified urologist at UF Health Jacksonville. He also serves as associate director for the Urology Residency Program. Dr. Wehle completed his medical degree at University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, and served his general surgery and urology residencies at the University of Florida.
Prior to joining University of Florida Health, Dr. Wehle served as the president of the Florida Urological Society. Dr. Wehle was also a consultant in the department of urology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, for 22 years. He was named the top urologist in Jacksonville, Florida, and was spotlighted in the renowned publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. In 2012, he was named as one of America’s top surgeons and America’s top urologist by SLD Industries, Inc.
Dr. Wehle is currently a member of the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the American Urological Association and the Prostate Cancer Advisory Council. He serves as a delegate for the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association, and has served as a member, program chair, executive board member, secretary and treasurer, and president of the Florida Urological Society.
