Cardiothoracic Radiology
The cardiothoracic imaging specialists of UF Health Radiology in Jacksonville, Florida, provide a full range of advanced cardiovascular and thoracic imaging for clinical specialists, including pulmonary disease specialists, cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons at UF Health Jacksonville and UF Health North.
The cardiovascular imaging experts perform non-invasive diagnostic imaging of the heart, great arteries and veins, as well as surrounding structures, such as the pericardium. Complete vascular imaging including coronary, carotid, thoracic, abdominal, pelvic and extremity vascular studies are performed. In addition, the division offers pulmonary imaging, including conventional diagnostic chest radiographs and CT, low-dose lung cancer screening, and high-resolution CT scans for evaluation of focal and diffuse lung disease and tracheobronchial pathology.
Available imaging methods include magnetic resonance (MR) imaging (1.5 and 3.0 Tesla), computed tomography (CT) scanning (dual-source 64-slice) and nuclear imaging including single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and hybrid positron emission tomography (PET-CT).
