Women's Imaging
The women’s imaging team at UF Health Radiology in Jacksonville, Florida, uses conventional mammography and ultrasound for breast imaging as well as image-guided biopsy/localization procedures. In addition, we offer 3D breast tomosynthesis as an additional view to the traditional 2-D diagnostic mammogram. The largest benefits of tomosynthesis for patients are the reduction of false positives and call backs on mammograms, providing a more specialized view giving patients peace of mind as well as improving their comfort throughout their mammography experience.
The offers services at three MQSA-accredited locations: Downtown Jacksonville, North Jacksonville and Southside. Available imaging modalities include digital 2D mammography with 3D tomosynthesis option, dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) bone-density screening, ultrasound and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging as well as radioactive seed localization for breast tumors.
