My bio
Joana Ochoa, M.D., is an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville and a UF Health general surgeon and endocrine surgeon. She specializes in the surgical treatment of benign and malignant thyroid disease, parathyroid disease, hyperparathyroidism and adrenal tumors. She received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She completed a surgical residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, as well as an endocrine surgery fellowship at University of California Los Angeles.
